What to Expect Upon Hire:

DRAWING:

  • Black and white takes approximately 3-4 minutes per face, and color takes approximately 5-7 minutes per face.

  • For large parties (guests over 50+), it is my recommendation to offer black and white only, and save color for a select few main celebrants, for sake of quantity and time. However, the choice is entirely yours to make! What are your thoughts?

SET UP:

  • I will arrive a half hour prior to start time to set up.

  • My set up consists of my easel and 3 chairs total, one for me, two for your guests, occupying roughly a 4x4 space (a small corner).

  • **If you have three extra chairs available that you’d be able and willing to set aside for my use, I would greatly appreciate it! If not, it is no problem and I will plan to bring them!

  • I have a clamp-on battery operated lamp should it be dim - no electric/outlets required.

GUESTS:

  • All guests will receive their drawing in a clear, plastic sleeve with an adhesive seal to ensure utmost party protection, and a safe arrival home!

  • Your guests will each be offered and have the opportunity to leave their drawing with me, should they choose to keep their arms free for the duration of the event, and may pick up on their way out!

IN ADVANCE:

  • As the host, or bride/groom, I offer to draw your caricature in advance (from photos of your choosing) to alleviate the stress of scrambling to find time to sit in person that day! I will have it ready for you upon arrival the day of the event. If this sounds helpful to you, please send approximately 3 clear photos of each subject to be drawn. Links to social media are a helpful and welcome option too!

  • For memorabilia, I offer to print the details of your choosing (name, date, logo, slogan) on each sheet of drawing paper. Upon hiring, please message me with exact verbiage (ie Line 1: “Celebrating Connor’s 40th” Line 2: “Tampa, Florida” Line 3: “08/21/2013”) and any logo files.

About Me

Hi, I’m Chelsea! Thank you so much for your interest in me and my work. Drawing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Shortly after high school, while pursuing a technical degree in graphic design, I was hired as a Caricature Artist at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay—a dream come true. Growing up in Florida, I vividly remember being mesmerized by the caricature artists at Busch Gardens, and it felt surreal to become one of them.

What I initially thought would be a temporary job turned into a pivotal moment in my career. The skills I honed as a caricature artist naturally blended into my work as a graphic designer. This led me to launch my own freelance business, where I combine digital design with illustration, and continue to offer caricature and face-painting services for events til present day! 14 years later.

It would be my honor to work alongside you in creating joy and celebration at your event. I hope to meet you soon!
